Nautical Dreams: An elegant summer wedding on the coast of Maine

I had the honor of capturing Max and Molly's stunning wedding in Northeast Harbor last September, and it was truly a day to remember! The backdrop of the Hinckley Yachts boat yard and docks provided a picturesque setting for their love story to unfold.

From the very beginning, the day was filled with surprises and heartfelt moments. Max and Molly chose to do a first look, but little did Max know that his cousin had a delightful surprise waiting for him. Dressed in Molly's mom's wedding dress, she staged a playful fake first look that brought laughter and joy to the morning.

Though the day started with a foggy morning, the sun graciously emerged just in time for their ceremony, creating a romantic ambiance that perfectly complemented their vows. The couple exchanged promises surrounded by their closest friends and family, all of whom were there to celebrate this beautiful union.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour featuring fresh seafood, including mouthwatering mussels and oysters, provided by Max's family business, Hollander and DeKoning. It was a true taste of the coast, and everyone savored the flavors of Maine.

One of the highlights of the day was when Max's parents generously lent us their beautiful sailboat for a romantic photo session. Capturing Max and Molly against the backdrop of the serene harbor was a dream come true, and the images reflect the love and connection they share.

As the evening unfolded, the reception featured delicious food and lively music, where the couple and their guests danced the night away. The energy and joy in the room were palpable, a testament to the love and effort both families put into making this day special.
